I’d like to welcome our newest member John Keeton to Central Toastmasters. John was a Toastmaster back in the eighties and has decided to return to further enhance his communication skills. Once a Toastmaster always a Toastmaster…

Our club now has 46 members!

Terry Londergan chaired the meeting for the evening in place of our President who was travelling. Terry did a great job getting the point across that we need to set goals for ourselves and to act professionally during our meetings. Our Toastmaster for the evening was Paul Goldstein. Paul spoke about the recent fire tragedy in Worcester and reminded us that this is the Holiday Season – we need to celebrate and embrace other cultures’ ideas as well as our own. Ralph Lacerte was the Topicsmaster and he used commonly misspelled words as a basis for impromptus. The topics were a lot of fun and enabled the participants to expound on the ideas as they were relevant to their lives.

Special Notes:

Terry Londergan addressed club etiquette - concerning how we need to keep distractions to a minimum so that we are giving the speaker our undivided attention.
Central Toastmasters 2277 received an award (Distinguished Club) for 40+ members.
As always we meet at the Regency Suites on Southbridge Street in Worcester every Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Come and join us for a fun time!
