Please make every effort to notify the Toastmaster of the evening well in advance if you are unable to fulfill your assigned role – it’s common courtesy and a sign of a Competent Toastmaster.

Our sincere condolences to Ray Meola on the loss of his mother recently.

A reminder to please buy a meal and/or drink at the meetings to help our club maintain the room availability.

Great job by Susan Bassick as Toastmaster, Stan Birdwell as Topicmaster, and George McKenna as General Evaluator. The meeting ran very well and people notified the Toastmaster in advance where they couldn’t attend.

  • Maria Laba

"I Almost Drown At A Pond"

Dave Comeau

Maria’s 4th C&L speech about how a peaceful day at a nearby pond, swimming, turned into a horrifying experience when she almost drowned. She had us all glued to her words and motions to find out what happened. Very well done.

  • Dan Abraham

"For Your Own Good"

Therese Delongchamp

Dan gave a non-manual speech on the nuts and bolts of a good evaluation. This straight forward, to the point, speech on how to effectively evaluate each other by giving constructive feedback (60% on what needs improving, 40% on what worked well). Also very well done and gave us some objectives to emulate in our next evaluations.

  • Paul Goldstein

"Where Are All The Little Green Men"

Wayne DuPont

Paul gave a non-manual speech about life beyond the earth. Are we alone? Is there life on Mars? We heard a wealth of information from Paul about distant galaxies, wandering stars, and secrets that the earth holds to life on Mars. A riveting speech that gave us much to think about as we enter the new millennium. Very animated and well structured.
