Our Toastmaster for the evening, Joe Mewhiney, warmed up the members with his introduction and ran an excellent meeting – a model for others to follow. Dave Comeau pulled everything out of his hat, I mean bag, to give each table topic’s speaker a physical object to talk about – quite creative and fun. And our General Evaluator, Bob Eber, observed everyone speaking and gave valuable insight on what we could improve and what we do well.

"You Are In Charge!" |
Mike Carusi |
|
A non manual speech about the importance of the Toastmaster role. Another inspiring speech from Dan all about how the Toastmaster is in charge of every aspect of the meeting. He/she should always call ahead to make sure all key roles will be covered – don’t wait to fill roles at the beginning of a meeting. Dan told us that Toastmasters must always be prepared. |

"Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff" |
Rosemary Chaput |
|
A non manual speech centered around the book title – Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff. A great speech that’s applicable to all of us. George gave us some key quotes… Live life where you’re at, settle back and look at the bigger picture (have inner peace), practice patience and stay healthier, and live your life as if it was your last day. |

"Read Your Bible, Enjoy Your Bible" |
Stan Birdwell |
|
A non manual speech about a book many us have but don’t tend to read very much. An enlightening speech about why the Bible is important and interesting to read. It’s a great Love Story! The most important book to read is the book of Genesis. There are many very good versions available. Try to read the Bible for yourself rather than reading commentaries. |
