The INTERNATIONAL SPEECH CONTEST will be held at our next meeting. We’ve got a lot of speakers that can’t wait to show their stuff and you’re sure to learn a lot of new communication skills. Come on down and join the fun!!!

We had another very good turnout at our meeting this week – we’ve been averaging 19 members since the beginning of Year 2000. Let’s break into the 20s and add even more variety and excitement to our meetings.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Club dues (for April through September) are due now. Our goal is to have all dues collected by March 15, 2000. Early payments are encouraged. Please make your check out to Central Toastmasters #2277 for $36 and give or send to our Treasurer: Mike Carusi, PO Box 144, Hopkinton, MA 01748

The International Speech Contest will be held on March 15, 2000 for our club. Start working on those speeches and let Terry Londergan know if you’d like to participate. The speech must be within the 4 ½ to 7 ½ minute timeframe. Also check your November edition of Toastmaster Magazine for all the rules.

Come early to the meeting next week (6:30 or so) and see a prototype of what our future web site might look like (thanks to Stan Birdwell). It is also a chance to give us some much needed feedback.

A reminder to please buy a meal and/or drink at the meetings to help our club maintain the room availability.

Please make every effort to notify the Toastmaster of the evening well in advance if you are unable to fulfill your assigned role – it’s common courtesy and a sign of a Competent Toastmaster.

Notice to all Club Officers, please have a speech ready at all times so we can replace any no shows. This is a good practice for all Toastmasters as well.

Be sure to contact Terry Londergan (VP of Education) if you want to get on the schedule for a role or speech. Terry’s home phone is 508-885-5526.
