We’d like to give a warm welcome to our newest members who have joined Central Toastmasters during the past 2 weeks – William Dussault, Alyce Hill, Carol Murphy, and William Londergan. We’re looking forward to your active participation and Ice Breaker Speeches.

Judy’s C&L #10 speech. An uplifting speech about setting goals for yourself. If you have No Goals, you have No Focus. You can always change your goals but don’t ever let people dissuade you.

Hugh started this entertaining speech with a short ice breaker and then focussed on what it was like to turn 40. He spoke about his experiences leading up to his surprise Birthday Party and of course his 40^th physical exam.
Susan Bassick	"Help, I’m Being Invaded"	Paul Goldstein
Susan’s C&L #5 speech. A fascinating speech about all the catalogs she receives in the mail (5/day on average which is over a thousand per year). She likes the catalogs but enough is enough. Susan’s Catch 22 scenerio about getting rid of them.

SPECIAL NOTES:

The next District Conference will be held on May 5^th and 6^th. More details are in your yellow District 31 Newsletter. All Toastmasters are welcome to attend. The Officer Training at this conference is especially important if you’re interested in becoming a club officer.

The use of e-mail is paying off - 26 members now receive the weekly news bulletin via e-mail. Our current stamp savings is $9.00 per week which will easily cover the costs of our new web site.

A reminder to please buy a meal and/or drink at the meetings to help our club maintain the room availability.

Please make every effort to notify the Toastmaster of the evening well in advance if you are unable to fulfill your assigned role – it’s common courtesy and a sign of a Competent Toastmaster.

Notice to all Club Officers, please have a speech ready at all times so we can replace any no shows. This is a good practice for all Toastmasters as well – BE PREPARED!
