SPEAKERS

In the 1^st half of the meeting everyone had the opportunity to give a short 3 minute impromptu speech about some aspect of their lives (a mini Ice-Breaker). We all learned something new about each one of us and had a lot of fun at the same time.

In the 2^nd half of the meeting everyone had a chance to give a very short 1 minute impromptu speech about the "love of their life". I’ve been sworn to secrecy so I can’t say anymore.

SPECIAL NOTES:

A special thanks to Joe Mewhiney for giving a speech to the Bay Path School on the benefits of Toastmasters. He gave this talk to about 22 junior and senior level high school students. A few even participated and gave an impromptu speech. Thanks to his publicity efforts I would expect some new young members in the not too distant future.

The next District Conference will be held on May 5^th and 6^th. More details are in your yellow District 31 Newsletter. All Toastmasters are welcome to attend. The Officer Training at this conference is especially important if you’re interested in becoming a club officer.

A reminder to please buy a meal and/or drink at the meetings to help our club maintain the room availability.

Please make every effort to notify the Toastmaster of the evening well in advance if you are unable to fulfill your assigned role – it’s common courtesy and a sign of a Competent Toastmaster.

Notice to all Club Officers, please have a speech ready at all times so we can replace any no shows. This is a good practice for all Toastmasters as well – BE PREPARED!
