Topicsmaster for the evening, Dan Abraham, challenged the group with some very poignant topics.

Anyone interested in being an MC for "First Night Worcester" may contact Stephanie Gibree at 869-6291. Stephanie is looking for a speaker to host programs and to introduce acts at "First Night".

C&L Speech #2 - Using various statistics and examples from his own life, Peter described the frustrations of probate court, exposed the biased custody laws which exist today, and dispelled the myth that all divorced Dads are deadbeat.
Al Wheeler		"Mohammed Is Still Waiting"	Mike Carusi
C&L Speech #3 - Al described the trials and tribulations of moving from Chelsea to Salem. From planning the move to packing the truck to his formula for moving, Al convinced us that it's not "all small stuff" when you move.
Joe Mewhiney		"Why I Retired"	Frank Lederer
Non-Manual - Joe fabricated a story about how he used certain techniques to win student loyalty when he was a principal. Though completely untrue, his Achilles' Heel was eventually discovered and he retired to earn his GED.
Gene Brady		"Why?"	Stan Birdwell
Non-Manual - Gene inspired us with many reasons for becoming a Toastmaster and presented a compelling analogy of how Toastmasters is the "flight simulator" for speakers.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Cookouts are planned for July, August, and maybe September. These are a lot of fun and cost $5 each for the food.

A reminder to please buy a meal and/or drink at the meetings to help our club maintain the room availability.

Please make every effort to notify the Toastmaster of the evening well in advance if you are unable to fulfill your assigned role – it’s common courtesy and a sign of a Competent Toastmaster.

Notice to all Club Officers - please have a speech ready at all times so we can replace any no shows. This is a good practice for all Toastmasters as well – BE PREPARED!

From Worcester: Take Rt 290 EAST to Rt 140 Exit South Shrewsbury. Second left off Rt 140 - Hill Street to end (STOP sign). Left on Prospect Street, straight ahead onto Dartmouth Drive (Prospect forks to left) to end (STOP sign). Turn left onto Olde Colony Drive and take first right onto Saxon Lane. Take first left off Saxon Lane to Partridge Hill Road; Morningside Drive is second right; 26 Morningside Drive is second house on right (beige with black shutters).

From Shrewsbury Center: Follow Rt 140 NORTH to Hill Street, turn right onto Hill Street. Hill Street to end (STOP sign).
