Our new location is the Thyme's Square
Restaurant, 455 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA.
We are forming a "Speakers Bureau" for members who are interested in speaking outside the club. Contact George Hast for more information. The Toastmaster of the evening and the Sergeant of Arms are responsible for arranging the tables suitably for the meeting. Don't miss the Area Speech Contest hosted by Central Toastmasters on April 4, 2001 from 7 - 9pm at the Thyme's Square Restaurant. Past presidents' advisory: (George Hast) - Overall an excellent meeting. Speakers must take command of the room ( by gavel, if necessary ). Business session went on too long. Correspondingly, the Toastmaster should speak fewer words when time is of the essence in order to return the meeting to normal schedule. Room table arrangement discussion is closed; enough seating should be setup before the meeting to accommodate guests. The General Evaluator, not the Toastmaster, chooses replacements for any missing evaluators for the prepared speeches. Even though the room is small, voice projection is important; everyone must work on voice volume. |

|---|---|---|
| Filomena Didiano | "Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue" | Dick Brady |
| C & L #5 - Filomena promoted poetry culture. Worcester has a history of well known poets and poetry. Poetry and poets are very popular and accessible in Wormtown. | ||
| Therese Delongchamp | "Nobody Told Me There Would Be Days Like These!" | George Hast |
| S2E #3 - Therese humorously related her pregnancy experience. She complained of an apparently common ailment called "pregnancy brain" and noted the value of working with a "memory impairment unit" when afflicted with this condition... | ||
| Bill Dussault | "Raising the Bar on 100 Percent" | Al Wheeler |
| C & L #7 - Bill explained career focused personal improvement. You can never give more than 100 percent of your effort, but you can improve on absolute quantity and quality of your results or output. To advance your career it helps to have a mean mentor, a psyched attitude, and stay state-of-the-art or up-to-date within your field. | ||
