Meeting Notes –
Paul Goldstein and his wife, Liz, attended as guests. Paul, a past Central Toastmaster #2277 President, long-time member, and staunch advocate of our club, is visiting from Norway. Gene Brady graciously gave up his impromptu speech time to allow Paul some words at the podium
We meet every Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the Thyme’s Square Restaurant, 455 Pleasant Street, Worcester, Mass.

John Keeton will host our next cookout on July 25, 2001. Directions to John's house may be found at the end of this bulletin. Please RSVP John to tell him whether or not you will be attending as it makes it much easier to plan the event. John’s phone number is 508-842-1786. August 29 is open to have a cookout. If anyone is interested, contact John Keeton.
Members who are interested in speaking outside the club, please contact George Hast for more information about the "Speaker’s Bureau"

Terry related a sorority adventure to Hampton Beach. The time was 1966 in the midst of the Vietnam war. Terry’s first unpublished novel – ‘Sugar Shack Soldiers" – was about the experience.

Fred reviewed the state of politics and politicians, lamented the moral poverty of some leaders, and analogized the political turmoil in the news to exciting, but bad, fireworks.
