Summary

Peter Hoag

Steady Nerves

Al Wheeler

Pete described several techniques that can be used to attain a relaxed state. The techniques were meditation, the Sarnoff squeeze, and the Callahan techniuqes. They can be used to be more relaxed in public speaking and stressful situations, reduce simple phobias, or feel more calm in everyday life.

Bill Dussault

Anti-Smoking Legislation and Civil Liberties

Brian Mulroy

Bill expressed his opinion that anti-smoking legislation should not go too far. If we take away smoker’s rights, other rights could be restricted as well. Bill did mention that he dislikes smoking himself and supports our right to know about health issues related to cigarettes

Filomena Didiano

All Stressed Up and Nowhere to Go

Gene Brady

Filomena talked about all the stressful things we have to do without enough time to do them. She showed us a picture of how perky she looks at the beginning of the work week and how frazzled she is at the end of the week. She used props to show us some of the playful things she does to learn to have a less stressful attitude at work.
