Summary

Christine Jost

Why has an academic type decided to join Toastmasters ?

Sanu Samuel

Christine gave us an overview of the adverse agricultural effects of international environment policies. But her main thesis was that she wanted to be an instructor who moved the heart as well as the mind, and Toastmasters will help give her those skills to make her a better communicator.

Joe Bellil

In Paris and in Love

Can anything go wrong ?

Divya Verghese

Joe related to us his sublime experiences of being in love and being in Paris. A beautiful night turned into a difficult and painful challenge for Joe as a Metro strike left him with no options but to walk with crutches 4 miles to his hotel. But all was well with romance dancing in the air.

Dan Abraham

Retire? Who, me?

Peter Hoag

ACL #2 –Speaking to Entertain - Dan regaled us with his experience of going to a seminar in Florida. During his visit he met up with some retirees who were content to play golf and go to the beach every day. Dan decided that the best way for him to enjoy life is to stay vital doing something constructive.

Brian Mulroy

Is there any hope ?

Wayne Dupont

Brian surveyed the human landscape and found it grim: life is chaotic, with brainwashed extremists, and a disregard for legal and moral laws. He urged us to use our free will to take responsibility for ourselves. Too many people blame their problems on genetic or environmental factors which causes a deterministic outlook.
