Summary

John Capuano

Ice Breaker

Carl Lakes

Worcester born and raised, now living in Auburn, John made his career in mechanical engineering and machine tools.  John told us he and his wife stopped bickering and arguing twice in their marriage – enough to generate two children.  John is also a proud first-time grandfather

Karen Lefebvre

Join Me in a Walk

Praveen Sharma

C&L #2 – Karen spoke movingly about the Avon Breast Cancer Walk – 3 days, 20 miles each day – from Fitchburg to Boston.  Karen conveyed the profound emotional connection formed by the participants and their supporters.  Last year the walk raised $5 million for poor women.

Aaron Kan

Light at the End of the Tunnel

John Keeton

Born in China, Aaron lived with his grandparents on their farm for a time, and was a very good student (girls were his best subject).  He came to the US to earn his P.H.D. in physics.  His initial euphoria in the US changed, in time, to culture shock and homesickness

Ÿ         The toastmaster of the evening and the Sergeant of Arms are responsible for arranging the tables suitably for the meeting

Ÿ         Fed Nathan, Sergeant at Arms, will collect $5.00 from any member who has not met the minimum dinner purchase requirement that maintains the room availability

Ÿ         A 15% gratuity is mandatory to insure proper service.  You may, at your discretion, give more.

Ÿ         It is a sign of courtesy to be quiet while a speaker is at the podium.
