Summary

Mary Alice Widness

The Money Pit

John Keeton

C&L #6 – Mary Alice related her experience in buying a house that turned into a money pit.   The house needed a lot of TLC as the prior owner left her a grungy basement and unkempt yard, among other things.  The house gave her asthma that turned into pleurisy.  And to top things off, her mother’s silver was stolen.

Joe Mewhiney

Building Goodwill

Karen Lefebvre

Public Relations #1 – Joe told a tale of two cousins – one who stayed in school and worked hard and became an advisor to the king, the other who didn’t apply himself and let the king down.   Like the advisor, we Toastmasters are working on having initiative and improving ourselves

Carl Lakes

My Life

Wayne DuPont

Carl’s Ice Breaker brought us on a journey of his life, from a young pitching star, to an interest in music and playing in several bands, to his 25 years in the Buying business.  He’s got a new job and is joining Toastmasters for his personal growth.

Praveen Sharma

Jack of Many Trades and Master of None

Al Wheeler

Praveen’s Ice Breaker started with his hope to become an Ideal Person.  He told us of his interests growing up, like football, cricket, math, and chess.  He is married, has a 2-yr old son and has a degree in mechanical engineering.
