BUSINESS SUMMARY
ATTENTION club members! When you attend, please remember to at least meet the $5 minimum dinner purchase to maintain the room availability. The Sergeant At Arms must collect $5 from any member that does not. (This does not apply to any guest.)
IT IS A NEW YEAR!
May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastro-enterologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your psychiatrist, your plumber and the I.R.S.
May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs and your stocks not fall; and may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise.
May New Year's Eve find you seated around the table, together with your beloved family and cherished friends. May you find the food better, the environment quieter, the cost much cheaper, and the pleasure much more fulfilling than anything else you might ordinarily do that night.
May what you see in the mirror delight you, and what others see in you delight them. May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, and tell the world about your virtues.
May the telemarketers wait to make their sales calls until you finish dinner, may the commercials on TV not be louder than the program you have been watching, and may your check book and your budget balance - and include generous amounts for charity.
May you remember to say "I love you" at least once a day to your spouse, your child, your parent, your siblings; but not to your secretary, your nurse, your masseuse, your hairdresser or your tennis instructor.
And may we live in a world at peace and with the awareness of God's love in every sunset, every flower's unfolding petals, every baby's smile, every lover's kiss, and every wonderful, astonishing, miraculous beat of our heart.

CENTRAL TOASTMASTERS MEETING
The next meeting is January 8. (That's less than a week away!) The holidays have provided us all a great rest and time away from the every day. Be sure to get or stay with the program by attending the weekly meeting regularly.
Remember to bring a blank VHS tape, if you want to record and review your performance of your prepared speech. It can be very useful for understanding how your audience perceives you.
TOASTMASTERS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (TLI)
TLI is being held on Saturday, January 18, 2003. The District 31 Main TLI will be held at Waters Corporation (34 Maple Street) in Milford, MA. Registration will begin at 8:30 with the first session starting at 9:00. There will be a short District Executive Council Meeting at the end of the TLI. Lunch will be provided and the cost for the session is $10 per person or $40 for a club that sends 4 or more officers. Contact Tom Weber - Div D Governor for more information at either 617-421-0259 or thomas.w.weber@marsh.com. See the District 31 web site, www.district31tm.org, for details.
TLI is very beneficial to anyone who is currently a club officer as well as anyone who is thinking about becoming one in the future. A club that has sent 4 officers to last Fall's TLI and that also sends 4 officers to this Spring TLI will receive credit toward Distinguished Club Status.
