1.       Please make every effort to notify the Toastmaster of the evening well in advance if you are unable to fulfill your assigned role - it’s common courtesy and a sign of a Competent Toastmaster.

2.       Please note: Six Mentors are available for members to meet with: Robert Koenig, Joe Mewhiney, Dan Abraham, John Keeton, Paul Anderson, and Peter Hoag.

3.       Cost of the room coverage: must meet the $5 minimum dinner purchase to maintain the room availability. The Sergeant-At-Arms must collect $5 from any member that does not. (This does not apply to any guest.) Proper dress is business casual

4.       Taping of the speeches: Remember to bring a blank VHS tape, if you want to record and review your performance of your prepared speech. Mark LaPete will transfer the taped prepared speeches to VHS at the presenters' request.

5.       Speaking engagements: Speaker's Bureau, contact: Dan Abraham at 508-757-3855.  Please give Dan Abraham a hard copy of the title and or summary of the speech(es) that you are willing to submit to the speakers’ bureau.
 
6.       Please access the membership list online when you are able and check your contact info. This information is available for Toastmasters' business use at: http://www.centraltoastmasters.org/ then click on “Club Members  (http://www.centraltoastmasters.org/cgi-bin/membership_list.pl)
Also please note that any needed changes to the membership list, e.g. contact info, need to be forwarded through the VP of Membership, Joe Mewhiney.

“Getting Around the Our Next Goal” Persuasive Speaking Manual-Advanced Speech

John made a speech intended to persuade citizens to adopt a new transportation system in Worcester.  He laid out the plan, the reason the final product was needed and necessary, and asked the audience for its support of the plan.

 “Finding Quality Medical Information on the Internet” C&L #8 Add Impact using Props. Paul presented  the features and benefits of a website, medlineplus.gov.  The speech was an organized, well thought out overview of the vast array of health-related information that can be found on this site.  He used props for the speech which included a bookmark and a page outlining what the site has to offer.

“And That’s That!”  Rob gave an energy-filled speech discussing his interest for the legal profession.  He made great use of imagery and voice inflection during the speech. He also promoted the website, law.com.
