SPEAKERS

Speech Title

Summary

Al Wheeler

Judges

“World, Please”  Al spoke to the audience, pretending he was God speaking to the world, admiring the planet for what it has done but also suggesting improvements for the future.

Rob Koenig

Judges

“A Picture Speaks a Thousand Words”  Rob’s speech focused on the usefulness and practicality of digital photography.  He used a digital camera as a prop during his talk and did an excellent job of using his voice effectively to illustrate points and hold the audiences attention.

Karen Lefebvre

Judges

“I’ll Keep Walking”  Karen’s speech discussed the disease of breast cancer and the many ways in which we can contribute to breast cancer research.  Her way of contributing to this cause is a walk to raise money for breast cancer research (60 miles over 3 days – WOW!!) to raise money for research.  As for Karen, she says, “I’ll keep walking.”

Dan Abraham

Judges

“Involvement”  Dan’s stressed the importance of involvement in the community.  He made a compelling case for being an active citizen, especially of your own community.  He feels that the world needs more activity, rather than passivity to ensure positive things in the future.
